Draining the Pond and Catching the Fish

We are praising the Lord that we are able to purchase 2 rai (a little less than an acre) of land close to the university in Chiang Rai. This will allow our Hmong college students a place to live while attending. Most of the land is used for rice. It is low so that it allows for water during the rainy season. The only problem is that if want to put buildings on the land, we must put fill dirt on top.

If you are willing to help, we will need $10,000 to haul and put the dirt on the land. If you can help with any portion, it would be helpful. We have a small pond on the land (see videos below) and want to raise some fish in it. It will cost about $1,000 to prepare the pond and purchase fish. We also need $1,000 to change the names on the land deed.

The Hmong students have started their new school year (May-March). We witnessed 9 of the students coming to Christ as their Savior the last school year. We are praying that God will continue to work in the students that returned from last school year and will work in the lives of the new students.

Please continue to pray for a social worker the government is requiring the foundation to have. Somboon’s brother, Chai, is praying about this. He will need to complete a master’s degree. We are thankful he has a BS degree.
